The Skin Reset Treatment is our doctor-led TCA peel. TCA (trichloroacetic acid) is a medical-grade chemical peel that gently lifts away tired, damaged surface skin, so fresher, more even skin can come through.

How a TCA Peel Works

First, Dr Stef assesses your skin, your skin type and your medical history. We talk about what bothers you and what you would like to see. Only then do we decide if a TCA peel is the right choice, and at what strength.

On the day, your skin is cleansed and prepared. Dr Stef then applies the peel in careful layers. You will feel warmth and stinging for a few minutes, and a cooling fan keeps you comfortable. The peel is then neutralised and your skin is soothed. The whole appointment takes about 45 minutes.

Over the next few days, your skin peels and renews. Underneath, fresher skin comes through and collagen quietly builds. It is gradual, which is exactly why it looks natural.

Does a TCA peel hurt?

You will feel warmth and stinging for a few minutes while the peel works. We use a cooling fan and Dr Stef stays with you the whole time, adjusting the strength to your skin. Most women say it is very manageable.

How much downtime is there?

Most women peel for 2 to 4 days. Light flaking can continue for up to 14 days, but it is just flaking and easy to manage with the right moisturiser. Plan it for a quieter week, and never right before an event.

It is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with active cold sores or skin infection, or if you have recently taken isotretinoin (Roaccutane).
